I was watching one of my favorite TV shows "Parks and Recreation," and one of the characters, April Ludgate, is part Puerto Rican. On her heritage, she says, "It's why I'm so lively and colorful." Which is ironic, because she's neither of those things. April is great because she deadpans everything and is unenthusiastic about her job. Also, she's super sarcastic, which is great. At one point, April had a Venezuelan boyfriend named Eduardo who doesn't speak very good English. It's a great chow, and I recommend that everyone should watch it!
April is part Puerto Rican because the actress who plays her -- Aubrey Plaza-- is also of Puerto Rican descent. Aubrey is a comedian famous for deadpanning everything. She's from Delaware and practiced improv in different groups before landing on "Parks and Recreation." She's also been in a few movies, such as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Funny People.
