Pablo Picasso

Weeping Woman with Handkerchief (1937)

Art is an interest of mine. I also like to know about the artist. What may have inspired them? What was their life like? One artist I decided to look into was Pablo Picasso. When naming some of the most famous artists, Picasso's name tends to come into conversation. I did not know that Picasso was also Spanish.

Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain on October 25, 1881. His father was a known artist, Jose Ruiz. Pablo decided to take his mother's last name instead though, Picasso. Pablo began to show great talent when he was only 14 years old. Picasso was able to finish an examination for a school which usually took one month, in only one day. After completing this for the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona, Pablo moved on to another school, Academy of San Fernando in Madrid.
After learning this information about Pablo Picasso, I feel as though I know so much more about him. He was a great artist and he's also a great man that represents the Spanish artists.
